Some ranges and ovens utilize a manual style thermostat (electronic systems utilize a sensor).  These thermostats do not keep the temperature perfectly set to a given temperature.  There can be a range as much as a 20 to 25 degree Fahrenheit range above and below the set temperature that the oven will actually fluctuate. If when using a high quality oven thermostat to measure the oven temperature, you see a temperature fluctuation higher than 25 degree above or below the set temperature, it is likely that you need to replace the thermostat. Recent Customer Symptoms: I have a Frigidaire Elect Range Smooth Top Model FEF336BGDD Serial# VF93219729. The oven temp is off by 70 dergees Can this be adjusted or do I need a new Themostat?
