Common GE - Hotpoint - RCA Dryer Belt Routings

This is the most common belt routing found on GE, Hotpoint and RCA brands clothes dryers.

Since you will have everything disassembled to change the belt, this is an excellent opportunity to vacuum out the cabinet to remove dust and lint and perform preventative maintenance on your dryer.

This is also an excellent time to replace any worn drum glides, rollers and bearings, idler pulley and felt drum seals. All of these items are easily changeable when replacing the belt. The upside is that your dryer will operate like new.
